Lego Robotics League / STREAM Club

Open to students in grades 5-8, this club meets once or twice a week after school. Students will participate in learning, team-building, collaborating, problem solving, engineering, designing, coding and competing! Please Contact Mrs. Scarponi or Mrs. Siano for details.

Student Council

The SSPJ School Student council is led by students in Grades 5-8. Officers include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Officer of Religious Affairs, who are elected each spring. In the fall, classes elect class representatives. The Saints Philip and James School Student Council seeks to exemplify the Mission and Philosophy of our school. Each member is expected to uphold all school rules, promote school spirit, foster good citizenship and provide a positive example through overall conduct, effort and grades. Student Council serves to engage students in learning about democracy and leadership as they represent the students of our school. Student Council meets during recess period once per week, and participates in activities outside of school hours as well, such as hosting quarterly Student Council Activity Nights.

Rosary Club

This club is open to students in Grades 3 through 8. During a weekly meeting time, the club gathers to learn the rosary and pray for everyone's special intentions.Please come join us in prayer and friendship!

Choir

The Saints Philip and James School Choir is open to students in grades 3-8. Rehearsals are bi-weekly after school. Choir practices will focus on vocal & musical techniques for music ministry at school liturgies as well as stage performance. Choir members serve our school, parish, and community with their talents.

Drama Club

The SSPJ Drama Club is open to students in grades 3-8. Rehearsals are bi-weekly after school and increase in frequency before our annual spring production. The Drama Club welcomes all students interested in theater production including: acting, vocal performance, dance, set design, lighting controls, sound engineering, and more. Saints Philip and James School recognizes the benefits of the performing arts and continues to support all activities, events, competitions, performances and course offerings related to training students in theater. We take tremendous pride in the fine reputation we have established through our student productions!
