To kick off our celebration of Catholic Schools Week, grades K-8 competed in "Minute to Win It." The kids had a blast!

Pre-K A & B made lanterns to kick off Catholic Schools Week because "Catholic Schools Light the Way!"

Kindergarten class learns about “rectángulos” (rectangles) in Spanish class.

First grade is learning about the miracles of Jesus. Jesus Walks on Water. Keep your eyes on Jesus. He will always love you. He was always be there for you. He will never let you down.

Mrs. Korp's First Grade class honors Dr. Martin Luther King

Pre-K learned all about the Three Wise Men and the Epiphany this past week. Here they are wearing their crowns made of "gold," Each crown features 3 gems-- our number for the week!

First Grade built and tested their parachutes for Santa. Santa will be prepared for anything on Christmas Eve thanks to our young engineers!

December 6th is the feast of Saint Nicholas. In parts of Europe, children put their shoes out the night before in hopes that he will put some treats in them. Our students left their "shoes" in the hallways last night, and, sure enough, Saint Nicholas visited!

Congratulations to the Saints JV Girls A basketball team. They won their season opener!

The weather is crazy up in Fourth Grade! Our budding meteorologists are tracking a hurricane.

Mrs. O'Sullivan's sixth grade Social Studies class creating their own Sumerian cylinder seals.

The Saints Philip & James School choir sang at the Phillipsburg Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Shappell Park on Tuesday evening. Thank you to Mr. Yesenosky and the SSPJ Choir for sharing Christ's love through song. What a beautiful concert!

• Pre-K 6:30pm (parents only)
• Kindergarten 7:00pm (parents only)
• Grades 1st-8th 7:00pm (students and parents)

Dear Families of SPSJ,
It is always wonderful to see so many of our school families and parishioners enjoying themselves at the carnival. It was also great to have such nice weather for the carnival! Special thanks to Jennifer Tavormina and to the carnival committee for all of their hard work and endless hours that they gave throughout the school year and this week to make our carnival a success. Also, thank you to all of our teachers, parishioners, and families that supported the carnival and to everyone that volunteered. You help make this great school and community event a reality. We are thrilled to announce that this year the carnival profited approximately $50,000.00!

Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that the third marking period is already over! Report Cards will be distributed on Friday, April 20, 2018. If you have any questions about the report cards, or would like more information about your child's progress in school, please contact your child's teacher. Once again, I would like to remind everyone to continue to check your child's Power School account. All class assignments and grades can be found on your Power School account.
